I would request you to try the imicrro modification in the registry settings to check if the Microphone is disabled from playback. Please help, this is my only source of sound, and I need sound, from assignments, to online gaming. I was able to solve the driver issue through "device manager" on my computer.

To me, this verifies it is not a hardware issue with the headset. In reply to A. It was as simple as hopping into a ventrilo channel and going, oh look, my mic isn't working-- that's odd. Then plug your USB headset when Windows 10 starts. This section, xriver, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry.
